Abstract
The purpose of this study is to compare the lifestyle including diet, exercise, and daily activities, in 342 Korean obese and non-obese adults (Men: 86, Women: 256). Subjects were divided to obese and non-obese groups by body mass index (BMI). We analyzed the data from health examination and questionnaire. The results are as follows: 1) Obese group showed lower daily amount of physical activities than non-obese group, and non-obese men participated in the regular exercise program longer (exercise more than 6 months; 45~47%) than obese men. 2) Obese group showed bad eating habits, faster meal speed, preference of salt food, and less composition of vegetable and algae, more frequency of hypertension(Women: p< .05) and knee pain. Therefore, we suggest the importance of teaching effective and reasonable weight loss program, for the maintenance of healthy life in obese individual.
